M. Tariq Banday (Senior Member, IEEE) received the M.Sc., M.Phil., and PhD degrees from the Department of Electronics, University of Kashmir, Srinagar, India, in 1996, 2008, and 2011, respectively. He is a Professor at the University of Kashmir, Srinagar, India. He teaches various courses in electronics, computer science, and information technology. He supervises PhD scholars and investigates sponsored research projects. He has also worked with e-learning, e-governance, social media, image compression, and quantum dot cellular automata. He has authored or co-authored over 200 research items, such as books, book chapters, and research articles in reputed journals and conference proceedings. His current research interests include security in the Internet of Things, processor architecture, e-mail security, forensics, classification, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and digital forensics.
